In the LIMBIC project Practice teams consisted of GPs, nurses, physiotherapists, health care assistants, practice managers, administrative and clerical staff and also patients.
Each team had a patient member who attended the workshops and assisted them with their improvement projects in between the workshops. This proved to be a valuable contribution to the project. It helped the Practices remain focussed on what was important to their patients when planning their improvement projects.
There was also patient representation on the project Steering Group and this helped the Group remain focussed on patients’ needs when making strategic decisions about project activity.
